********I'm updating my review as I was requested to complete the review at the beginning of the case. Unfortunately my view in this law firm has completely changed. This firm simply started the case, submitted paperwork for the PTI program and never followed through with anything else. My son's court officer went on leave and never returned. We tried to reach out to Austin as we were told to when I made my payment. But anytime I called I was given the runaround and told he was not available and that he would call back.. months and months of calling with no response.. I ended up having to hire a second law firm to get involved. My new lawyer simply went down to the court officers office and spoke to the supervisor to get the case moving as PTI has a time limit.. once the state had sent me the paperwork saying that PTI was complete my next step was to again reach out to the Fernandez law firm to then have the case expunged.. which I'm aware was an additional fee. I reached out to them time and time again and so did my son and every time once again there was another runaround.. either the system was down or the woman that handles expungements was not available.. another month of chasing them around with no recourse... So finally I went back to the other law firm and explain to them what was going on.. They once again took on my case for a fee.. If I had to do it all over again I would never ever use the Fernandez law firm I'm sorry they are just too irresponsible and don't give a damn about you after you pay them the fee. If I had not hired a second lawyer (after paying this firm and not getting what I paid for) to take over when they drop the ball my child would still have a felony.

Cat, our lawyer, was incredibly helpful during our difficult time. She was very understanding and willing to go that extra mile to make my wife feel comfortable through the process. The law office thought that the expungment would take 6 months or more, but we were able to get it done in half of that time. Truly great service. I hope we will never have to deal with these issues again but this firm is exceptional!!
