Fresh Start Law Firm has worked miracles for us from day one. David immediately found an error that was done by the court clerk. Who would have ever imagined the HUGE difference a lower case " a" vs an upper case "A" could make in the ability to secure an expungement. But he found it almost immediately and let us know what we needed to do to get the court to fix their error. I wasn't able to get my 17b granted in a notoriously unforgiving county, but still was able to get my charges expunged with David's help (of course you'll have to do some of the heavy lifting yourself with preparation). This firm is the real deal. It was much less expensive than other firms I talked too. It was so cheap I was honestly worried that they might not be so great. They are very responsive sometimes I would send them emails at around 8pm and they still answered me right away. They got my felony reduced and expunged and it was fast. They told me 8-15 weeks but maybe even longer because of covid. It ended up taking 7 weeks. Very professional helpful and kind people. You guys are changing peoples lives you are AWESOME!

This was my first time ever having to go through the expungement process, and I must say I am extremely pleased with the experience. I saw alot of reviews on this company and alot of the complaints I saw were of people complaining of the documentation they had to provide. I feel you get what you put in and this company is here to help you as much as you let it. That being said, before I even called I had a copy of my disposition ready to go. I took the eligibility test, sent an email and got a response within hours. I personally talked to Mr. Huffman, got a list of things I needed to get ready and got to work. Even living in Texas, the process went by smooth and quick. Mr. Huffman required a few documents I already had ready prior and I was able to get letters of recommendation immediately. Again, some of the complaints I saw were of people expecting this company to do ALL the work completely for them, which I thought was a bit absurd, especially living in these times we're in full of restrictions and delays. My start date was 03 DEC 2020 and I got my record Expunged with paper work in by 05 APR 2021. Not bad for being 3 states over and not once having to go back to California for any reason. Mr. Huffman kept me updated with both emails and their tracking system online. If you are going to go with this company, just remember, YOU are hiring them, and they are only as effective as you let them be. So have all your ducks in a row and be ready to help with some paperwork in order to receive the fastest response times available. I would first like to say that they did exactly what I hired them to do. They got my felony reduced and expunged. And they do respond semi immediately. The founding lawyer was who I worked with and did not feel respected. He was a little rude, and didn’t act like he cared about me. When talking on the phone he came off as though he was talking to a friend not a client. I asked him for advice a few times on how to word things or to get information and just came off as if I was bothering him. With that being said I give this firm a 3 star rating. The lack of compassion really played a major role on my decision to write this review. Lastly I want to say I am not writing this to hurt the firm.
