Case dismissed! Music to my ears… In 2014, I was arrested and charged for a crime that I did not commit. I consulted with the senior partner of a law firm and signed a contract, thinking that this attorney would represent me. Much to my chagrin, after submitting payment for services, they pulled a bait and switch on me and assigned two rookies with less than two years of experience to represent me. I knew after the first court appearance that this was not going to work, since the prosecutor was very aggressive. A colleague at work and another lawyer highly recommended Mr. McCoppin to me because of his background as a prosecutor and his expertise with difficult cases. I was convicted in district court, but we appealed. Mr. McCoppin worked with the new prosecutors and successfully got my case dismissed, without having to go to trial. My case was difficult because we couldn’t prove that the witness was not being truthful. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We are now working on getting my record expunged.
